Would you be interested in taking part in a study to monitor the impact a nutrition supplement can make to your skin condition?

Further Information :

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a nutritional supplement on adults with eczema whilst maintaining current dietary habits.

As a nutritionist I am interested in knowing:
What effect a nutritional supplement can have on the skin of Adults with Eczema.
Whether dietary habits have any impact on the response to the nutritional supplement given.

Your participation is important for evaluating the effectiveness of this supplementation program.  I appreciate your time and involvement in this project.

Procedures :

Participation in this research is completely voluntary.  If you choose to participate this is what will happen:

You are required to attend Neal’s Yard Therapy Rooms at 2 Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, London WC2H 4DP on 4 occasions over a 12 week period, for approximately 30-45 minuets on each visit, at which time you will be given your supplements.

Prior to starting the programme, you will be asked to complete two questionnaires
A dietary questionnaire; A self-evaluation questionnaire and Photographic records of your skin will be taken.

You will be asked to retake questionnaire II. & have your photographic records updated at each of the 2 subsequent 4 weekly visits & again  on completion of the study.

You will also be required wherever possible to maintain your normal dietary habits over the 12-week supplementation period.

Risks
You are not required to abstain for using any topical applications, but you are required advise the researcher if you do so; as indicated on questionnaire II.

Voluntary Participation
Your participation in this study is voluntary.  The decision to participate is not binding, and you may withdraw from this study at any time without having to provide any reason or explanation.

Confidentiality
Your participation in this research is completely confidential.  You will not be identified in any research report or publication resulting from this research.
